The Murder Mystery

One of our most durable and entertaining properties has been the Evenfest Murder Mystery.

We know that murder mysteries seem to be a common place item on the agenda of many meetings over the past decade. Relying on the response of our clients over the past ten years, we feel that our production is a unique approach to this popular entertainment venue.

Like all of our presentations, we have constructed an event that relates directly to the meeting environment. In the past, it has been implemented as a team building device, a motivational statement and a strategy support tool, all with remarkable success.

We realize that not everyone wants to take part in a "murder mystery". That is why we have gone to great lengths to provide an event that is entertaining on a variety of levels. This "universal appeal" has been the core of our success in this area.

We have no "generic" murder mystery. Every show we perform is written specifically for our clients. The result is a presentation that involves every member of the audience in the action.

Comedy has been a cornerstone upon which all of presentations have been created. The Murder Mystery is no exception. It is lean, fast paced, participatory entertainment that hammers home your corporate message.

Meeting time is a precious commodity. Why waste an opportunity of reinforcing the values and strategies by providing just another evening of entertainment.

Trial By Dinner

The Trial By Dinner is an hilarious "spoof on justice" that runs the length of the evening meal. Quite simply, the dining audience is plunged into an ongoing court session during dinner replete with judges bench, witness stand and defence and prosecution desks in the middle of their dining environment.

Once all the guests have been seated, the bailiff calls the court to order and bids the court to rise to make way for the presiding judge. Once the judge is seated, he runs quickly over the docket for the evening and calls the prosecuting attorney to the bench. Before the various cases are heard, it is determined that a rigorous "jury selection" process should take place. Going on the assumption that all present will constitute the jury, randomly selected members of the audience are called forward for cross examination by the bench as to their potential worth as jurors. This process becomes a half hour of comedic interaction between the actors and individual members of the audience. At the end of the "jury selection", the judge calls for a recess during which time the first course is served.

Once the first course as been cleared, the court is called back to order and the first case is heard. All of the cases presented before the bench will be carefully contrived scenarios based upon inside information provided by the client for this purpose against select members of the firm. Two cases will be heard until another recess is called for the serving of the main course. Once the main course and dessert have been served, the court will be called to order. All other cases will be heard at this time. Each case will feature a damning presentation by the prosecution and an extremely limited defence by the accused. The verdict is drawn from the audience by a common vote. Inevitably all accused are found guilty. At the end of all of the cases , the judge will adjourn court and exit.

The Trial By Dinner is a spontaneous parody on our justice system, that is highly interactive and thoroughly entertaining.
